Penn State Health | Arts Fest 2024
State-of-the-Art Care

Help us Paint a Mural for the kids at Penn State Health Children's Hospital in Hershey!

Join Penn State Health in our third year of the "From Our Kids to Your Kids!" campaign designed to bring hope and encouragement to the kids receiving treatment at the Children's Hospital in Hershey!

As a Silver Sponsor of the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts Children & Youth Day, we are proud to partner with Murals Talk Foundation, who has created the mural that will be painted at this year's Arts Fest. The mural banners will be delivered to the children currently at the Children's Hospital, who will in turn paint elements to be added to the mural. The completed banners will be returned to State College and become part of the festival banners.

Join us at Sidney Friedman Park!
Wednesday, July 10 – 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Meaning Behind The Murals

Daytime Side: Daytime represents new beginnings, new life, rejuvenation, and healing. The young deer represents regeneration with a full life ahead of him. Spiritually, the deer represents faithfulness and devotion. The field of flowers represents prosperity, growth, and a new phase of life.

Nighttime Side: The night sky symbolizes the opportunity for your body to rest and rejuvenate. The star is a beacon of hope – shining light that guides the way. It’s a symbol of positivity, happiness, and renewal. The white deer represents springing forward and upward; they act as guides leading you onward to leap over difficulties, face new adventures, and to reach higher goals! In the calm water, the deer feel refreshed and relaxed. The lotus flowers represent creation and rebirth.
