Penn State Health Endoscopy Center is a free-standing ambulatory center specializing in gastrointestinal endoscopy. Our facility provides patients and their families with the highest levels of comfort, privacy and convenience before, during and following procedures. We are located in the heart of State College with convenient parking.

Colonoscopy| EGD (Upper/Lower Scope)

The Penn State Health Endoscopy Center performs colonoscopy, endoscopy, and esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) procedures. These procedures examine either the upper or lower gastrointestinal tracts. The Penn State Health physicians performs the procedures using the services of a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to administer intravenous sedation which makes the procedures as comfortable for the patient as possible.

Our care team will schedule open-access procedures without the need for prior consultation from a Gastroenterologist. However, the patient will need to have an order sent to the center from their provider. The Penn State Health nursing staff is highly trained and attend state and national courses about the latest technology advancements and trends in GI nursing.
